Lake Pend Oreille, north Idaho, c32 An ad agency in Sandpoint, which is in North Idaho, has used this image many times for various purposes. They still haven't figured out precisely where it is even though their town is on the shores of the lake. I seem to have a knack for finding places that have potential for good images. It did take a lot of study to get here but not giving up sometimes pays off. Beautiful Lake Pend Oreille is the largest lake in Idaho, with an area of 180 square miles. Its overall length is 65 miles and its greatest width is 15 miles. It drains into the Pend Oreille River at Sandpoint. Lake Pend Oreille is one of three major lakes contained within Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
