Description:
Idaho, north central, Silvery Lupine in the Boise National Forest along Deadwood River
Image #dt527
I was happy to discover this group of Silvery Lupines along the banks of the Deadwood River in the Boise National Forest. A lot of the forested areas in the central Idaho wildernesses have burned in recent years. Finding an oasis like was a relief after traveling two days through blackened forests. Forests do recover but it takes time and meanwhile we can enjoy the occasional spot that escaped the fires. Its especially nice to find one decorated with wildflowers. Nature photography at its best as the gold evening light reflects in the river.
