At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed.
I have had four one woman shows and one group show in Manhattan. I love selling my photos and knowing I will part of that person's life for as long as my art work hangs on his or her wall. In my portfolio, I have many photos of New York City, and travel photos, from places I have visited. However anything that catches my imagination is grist for my griddle.....oops, my camera. Black and white, or color, it doesn't much matter. I love both.
