Marianne worked in Holland as a professional photographer for many years. Her clients were a diversity of companies, from the ‘low profile-world’ of Public Transportation to the refined and polished environment of the World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam.
In 2003 she and her family moved from the hassle and bustle of western Holland to the peace and quiet of rural Nova Scotia in Canada.
At first, Marianne entered the world of digital photography reluctantly, but soon she discovered its endless creative possibilities and fell in love with it. She now practices Fine Art Photography with great enthusiasm.
‘There is beauty in almost everything. Sometimes we have to look a little harder and dig a little deeper, but it is always there. I try to use my photography as a vehicle to convey my feelings of awe and joy to every one who sees my work. I consider succeeding to do so the ultimate compliment for my photographs.’
